JAUME SANFRANCISCO ALBA IS THE AUTHOR OF THE POSTER OF THE 34 EDITION OF THE CONTEST.
The organization has commissioned the poster to be the image of the 34 edition to Jaume Sanfrancisco, Technical Engineer in Industrial Design.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
First of all, thank the organizers of the 'Fira de Tots Sants Choral Competition' for the opportunity they have given me by being chosen to make this year's poster.
Starting with the suggestion made by the organization that it be a design with minimalist overtones, most of the work done and at the same time the main difficulty, was to find a base idea that was simple but at the same time encompassed the characteristics of a choral competition..
After several proposals, It was decided to choose the one that combined the fact that it is the edition number 34 of the contest, with which one of the most used musical measures is the 3/4.
Using an easily recognizable typography within the musical field, the number 34 It is the central motif of the poster, and with the purpose of facilitating the conceptual understanding of it, I have added five white lines that simulate a staff that is about to be written.
Regarding the colors chosen, I wanted to distinguish the 34 of the staff so as not to downplay the importance of the number, and that the two elements had greater dynamism. The background, red in color and with a minimal gradient, covers the purpose of making the poster attractive, where elements can stand out.
Finally, for the advertising titles, I have opted for classic but nice fonts at the same time., thus preserving its easy reading.
For me it has been quite a challenge to face this design; In most jobs with similar characteristics, It is difficult not to repeat some idea already reflected in previous posters, and not fall into showing the most typical elements in relation to the musical field, and in this aspect, I am more than satisfied.
