The Ainur Chamber Choir from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has been the winner of the 34 Edition of the Certamen Coral Fira de Tots Sants.
The El Teular Cultural Center in Cocentaina vibrated with the voices of the Ainur Chamber Choir and the other two that participated: the Anton Bruckner Chamber Choir of Barcelona, second prize, and the Frascati Decanter Choir (Roma), third. The Italians are the first international choir to participate in the competition and have been awarded, besides, with the public award.
The prizes awarded are 3.000 euros for the first, 1.800 to the second and 1.200 to the third, while that of the public is 600 euros. The proceeds from the box office will go entirely to the TAPIS Association of Cocentaina.
The choirs performed several works, opening their performances with the obligatory piece 'El Frare d'Agres', by Josep Robert Sellés y Camps.
The group Jana Sustersic Trío enlivened the jury's deliberation moments with an acoustic repertoire of songs with soul and jazz tones.
