MARIA DOLORES PÉREZ TORRESGraduated from the Valencia Conservatory of Music in the specialties of Repentization and Accompaniment, Sol-fa, Music Theory and Piano. He has a Master's degree in Musical Aesthetics and Creativity from the University of Valencia.. Woodcock in 1988 by the Ministry of Education and Science and, in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (USA), extensive studies of musical pedagogy, Improvisation and Accompaniment. In 1991 participates in the American seminar on Musical Pedagogy organized by the University of Tampa, Miami.

She is director of the Segorbe Choral Festival of Religious Music, improvement courses for teachers, recognized by the Department of Culture of the Valencian Community and director of the Segorbe Musical Youth choir since its foundation in 1982. As director, is in charge of the absolute premiere of the winning works of the International Choral Composition Competition “J. Bautista Comes” convened annually by the Segorbe City Council, the award-winning works being published by the publishing house Piles –Valencia-, as well as multiple compositions by contemporary authors, sponsored by the association of Contemporary Valencian Composers – COSICOVA-. In addition, She has been invited as a jury in the National Competition for Young Performers of Juventudes Musicales de España, as well as in various band and choir competitions. Author of several publications and musical productions about the teachers of the Chapel of the Cathedral of Segorbe and member of the “Araval” didactic productions team., edited by Piles -Valencia-.

He has worked as director with Carmen Cruz, Adrian Cobo, Vicky Lumbroso, Eduardo Cifre and José L. López. Director of the II “Choral Singing Workshop” organized by the Higher Conservatory of Music of Castellón and the Jaume I University, and coordinator of the “Holy Week” cycle with the collaboration of the Symphony Orchestra, Choir of the Superior Conservatory of Music “S. Seguí” from Castellón and the Musical Youth choir from Segorbe.

As director, The Segorbe Musical Youth Choir was selected to compete in the prestigious Tolosa Choral Competition, placing fourth in the folklore section, 1984. “Villa de Avilés” international choral competition 1998; First prize in the prestigious "Fira de tots Sants" choral competition in Cocentaina, 1994. Two third prizes at the Ejea de los Caballeros Choral Mass Festival, 1987 and 1993 and third prize in the “Villa de Rojales” Christmas carol competition 1993.

As a career civil servant, He has taught at the Madrid Conservatories, Zaragoza and Valencia, currently working as a teacher at the Castellón Higher Conservatory of Music.
