Josep Robert Sellés i Camps has been awarded at the 63rd International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest of Torrevieja with the “Habaneras Manuel Parada Composition Award 2017” for the work “Sing sea”.
Josep Robert Sellés I was already awarded in the XLII International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest of Torrevieja with the Prize “Jose Hodar” for the best direction at the head of the Cor de Cambra Discantus, entity of which he has been director since 1991, with which he got the First Prize absolute in this edition. I was also winner of the First Prize of “1st Choral Composition Competition of the Federation of Choirs of the Valencian Community 1999”, as well as finalist of the "II Matilde Salvador Choral Composition Award".
Josep Robert Sellés is a Senior Professor of Guitar at the “Oscar Esplá” Conservatory of Alicante and has been awarded the Extraordinary Prize in this specialty and the Extraordinary Final Year Award in Choir Conducting by the Superior Conservatory of Music of Valencia.. He is Technical Director of the Fira de Tots Sants Choral Contest, Director of the Discantus Chamber Choir of Cocentaina and the Eduardo Torres Vocal Group of Albaida.
