JOSÉ VICENTE ASENSI SEVA
Born in Sella, where he began his musical learning at the Sociedad Unión Musical “La Aurora” of which he is a founder..
Study at the Conservatories of Alicante and Valencia.
He is a Trombone Teacher, Solfeggio teacher, Music Theory, Repentization and Transportation, Senior Professor of Choir Conducting and Senior Professor of Harmony, Counterpoint, Leak, Composition and Instrumentation. Master of Aesthetics and Musical Creativity organized by the Institute of Creativity and Educational Innovations of the University of Valencia. Diploma of Advanced Studies from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
In his catalog of compositions there appear, polyphonic works, chamber music, music for the Moors and Christians festival and symphonic music for band. It is worth mentioning the obtaining of the First Prize for Composition and second prize the year 1994 in the XI National Festive Music Competition organized by the Ontinyent City Council.
He has made recordings among which stand out: “Start it” with the “La primitiva” Music Band of the A.A.M.. of Callosa of Sarriá; “Just as it was”: Monographic CD on the work of Francisco Tito, with the Coral “Jaume Baldó” of the Musical Academy of the Joyful City; "Band of the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community"
Founder and Director of the “José Seguí” Music School of Callosa d’en Sarriá until the course 2002/2003.
He has directed the following groups: Sella's music bands, Alcohol, Murcia Higher Conservatory of Music, The Buñol Harmonica, F.S.M.C.V., Callosa of Sarriá, Choir of the Musical Academy of the Joyful Town and Choral Group of Benidorm. In the year 2000, together with a group of colleagues and collaborators, founds CAMERATA AITANA.
He has carried out his teaching activity at the Alicante Conservatories, Murcia and Valencia. He is a full professor of Fundamentals of Composition. He has held the position of Head of Studies at the Conservatories: Superior of Music “Óscar Esplá” and Professional of Music “Guitarist José Tomás”.
He is currently a professor of Fundamentals of Composition and director of the “Oscar Esplá” Higher Conservatory of Music in Alicante..
