THE CCFTS WAS AWARDED WITH THE JOAN VALLS AWARDS 2022
The Fira de Tots Sants de Cocentaina Choral Competition with the Alcoyan dancer and choreographer Solo Picó, has won the Joan Valls i Jordà award for its 28th edition for the use and promotion of the Valencian language. The ultimate purpose of the competition has been addressed, which is none other than the dissemination of choral music, Since its inception, the organization has disseminated the written language in Valencian, being the only Choral Competition in the entire Valencian Community that promotes this action. Since 1995 a choral composition is commissioned based on a text written in Valencian, which becomes the piece the obligatory execution of all participating groups, regardless of origin.
The award ceremony took place last 25 March at the Ovidi Montllor Center in Alcoy. After the award ceremony, Josep Robert Sellés intervened, technical director of the contest where he thanked the recognition for this task that the Choral Contest has carried out practically since its beginning. Next Raúl Belda, coordinator of the contest thanked Sofia Moltó for defending the award, who was in charge of presenting the award.
